Teacher Grants are distributed by CCVA to local schools with funds raised from vendor booth sales at our local annual Fall Festival and from businesses purchasing space on custom logo reusable shopping totes that are distributed to residents. Businesses and individuals can purchase booths at the annual Fall Festival with 100% of the proceeds going directly to CCVA’s education grants and scholarships.
2025
The Cochran’s Crossing Village Association awarded teacher grants to teachers from Powell, Galatas, and David Elementary Schools. The board asked the teachers what they needed in their classrooms to benefit the students. At least 74 classrooms will benefit from the new equipment, books, projects, or supplies requested. The CCVA fundraising efforts of $3,000, along with support from three board members, resulted in $7,500 in teacher grants (with up to 2 scholarships at $1,000 each to be awarded to graduating high school seniors this spring). Thank you so much to the teachers for making our village schools an even better experience for the students with your great ideas for educational enhancements! We were so pleased to have teachers attend the January 28, 2025 board meeting and present their ideas. Thank you to everyone who attended our fall festival and to those booth vendors and tote bag sponsors who made these grants a possibility!
